The story
Beneath the ice, something is waiting
Something has been waiting beneath the Antarctic ice.
According to various accounts, the alleged encounter with Organism 46-B beneath Antarctica’s Lake Vostok took place between February 5, 2012, when Russian scientists first breached the lake’s surface after years of drilling, and November 30, 2016, when reports of the creature first emerged.
The claims have never been scientifically verified, and most regard them as urban legend.
