Hilarious comedy!
The story is set in a present day Hollywood LAPD precinct where the series of murders in the original film are being re-examined as cold-cases. A dimwitted rookie detective is aided by a drug-crazed archivist who works/lives in the LAPD basement where he/she curates files and evidence, including every drug known. An A.I. animated cocaine rat has a bit part in helping to solve these bizarre cases.
